Aquasonora is inspired by my deep connection to swimming,

which I have being doing for more than 20 years.

This immersion attempts to transport the audience to a space

created to simulate what I perceive and feel while swimming.

Hand built hydrophones where attached to different points of my body

while I swam a medley at the Metropolitan pool in Brooklyn

and at the McBurney YMCA pool in Manhattan.

These recordings capture the unique sound of different swimming strokes.

By sharing this experience a new way of perceiving sound is brought by using water

as the medium of transmission to our bodies that are 85% water.
